How to make vacuum packed sous vide chicken breast

Time required: 45 minutes

It will take about 5 minutes to prepare and another 40 minutes in your sous vide roner.

  1. Fill a specific pot or container about 3/4 full with water.

    Heat the water with your roner to 60ºF (140ºC).

  2. While the water is heating, we will prepare the chicken breast.

    In a bowl, add a little olive oil and distribute the thyme, salt and pepper. Finally, add a sprig of rosemary on top.

  3. Vacuum-pack the marinated chicken breast very carefully.

    Put it in the water and set your roner at 60ºC for 40 minutes.

  4. Once it's ready, carefully open the vacuum bag and cut the chicken into slices.

    Serve with your favorite side dish: mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, fries, vegetable salad, cooked broccoli, asparagus...

However, if you prefer to give it a crunchier touch, you can always sear the chicken on a griddle over high heat for 1 minute with a little olive oil.

Lastly, add that this recipe admits all kinds of spices for the chicken. For example, you can add two lemon slices on top of each breast with the suggested spices for a more citrus touch. You can also add other Moorish spices or garlic for a more spicy touch.
